As it's a non-destructive reversible install I'm very tempted to try their archtop pickup on my Gibson. I'm just curious as to whether anyone here has any experience with their products?

I have in the past and I still use an endpin preamp I got about 18 years ago. David Enike is extremely helpful and I suggest you email any questions you may have.

David Enke no longer has anything to do with PUTW, though they've kept his technology. It was rather an acrimonious split from what I'm led to believe. David runs his own thing now: opentosourcesensors.com/I've had a few models of PUTW and the newer soundboard transducers. I had the dual SBT system (known as the #54) wired in mono coupled with a Stealth UST, giving me a stereo system, and a stereo endpin preamp / blender. It was a great system, but fragile. It failed, as did the two replacements that followed it. David started out being fantastic with his service, but I'd been told by a mutual friend that he can be a bit difficult to pin down sometimes and I would up falling victim to that. I still have a new dual SBT system with a ground buzz and eventually I just gave up trying to get it replaced or repaired. The technology is about the best I've tried when it works, but it was just too unreliable for me personally and I moved on to Baggs pickups, which I don't care for much to be honest.

I use a mixture of Baggs Elements and K&k pickups on different guitars. Since I acquired a D-Tar Solstice I’ve preferred K&K.

Interesting - so am I better off going to PUTW or Open To Source for a compression pickup for my archtop?
