Obviously, the concept of austerity never reached the antipodean regions. It’s a Market. If he can charge the price and people pay it, well good luck to him.

Obviously, the concept of austerity never reached the antipodean regions. If it did you'd have to adapt and change your underpants every three weeks.

Ah, so this is what all those U.S. billionaires will be spending their new tax savings on.

Hmmm..seems I peaked before my time. Back in the the early '70's I was part of a duo employed by the hotel to walk up and down on very long and wide banqueting tables being a "merry minstrel" while the guests feasted on a mediaeval banquet using fingers only around our feet.... Birds of prey were flown from one end of the candlelit hall to the other while dogs feasted on the bones thrown over the shoulders of the revellers... We were dressed in green tights and short tabards which left not much to the imagination when viewed by the punters seated below... Thankfully this was well before the era of digital photography so I'm hopeful no evidence remains... I think I should be given a discount at the very least for this equally hedonistic event..

Don't forget the free signed CD if you book before Christmas! I had a look at the schedule and I think i'd be sick of the sight and sound of guitars well before the end. It's difficult to give full concentration for that length of time and those hours. If it's like the man himself it's likely to be very intense too. Academic anyway - I don't have £200+ to spare let alone £2,000+. Which is pretty much the total cost of my acoustic instrument collection. Mark
