Hi all,
My step-daughter has been told by her GP to rest from guitar for a week due to a bout of tendonitis. She has been doing a lot lately what with gigging, recording, lessons and also trying to learn slide, so i guess it's just an overuse thing.
I'm sure when i first joined the AL forum, there was either an article in on of the mags, possible a two or three page spread on guitar hand injuries, or it was a link. Does anyone recall this?
Thanks for any help.
Calv.

On another forum, I came across a recommendation for something called Shallaki which allegedly works. Having suffered from hand pains myself, I recommend rest for a week or two.

I think it was something in the magazine, Calv. Can't remember the issue, but I could have a look later this evening if you're still interested.

Hello Calv, there are definately do-able exercises that will help, and can benefit all the similar problems, like house maids knee and beer drinkers elbow.... My wife types alot and she use very similar ones to mine that just stretch the tendons that are painful. I think there was some stuff in the mag and maybe other sources around and about.
Like Martin, I'll have alook too.
Kind regs again , Peter
