I know the reverb helped to glue the sound together but I loved the first short piece on the first guitar.

With my varifocal lenses I can’t even keep the position markers on the side of the fretboard in focus

It doesn't sound very good to me. I reminds me of a guitar I played inBerlin which had all kinds of wonky frets which supposedly improved intonation. I couldn't hear any difference.
It makes sense when looking at different musical traditions I guess but life is surely to short?

it makes a lot of sense if you leave the western 12-tone-scale and enter the middle-eastern world of a 20plus-tone-scale. however, I'm happy with our system
