Very cool. I've never seen that palm resting technique before. Very cool.

I really like her singing. I'm always impressed with people that can sing and make it look so easy and do it so well. Watching another video she mentions she had a singing tutor throughout high school. For some reason I always think as singing as being something you can do or you can't do, whereas the good ones clearly invest a lot of time and effort in it. I recall Linda Ronstadt saying something similar, about how it took her years to learn to be able to sing how she wanted to.

You'll be telling me that people can give lessons on how to play the guitar next!

Can't be done. I've spent 40 years searching. It's fiction... Indeed my new trilogy Lord of the Strings tells the tale of short hairy fellow from the Shire who goes in search of the fabled "one". My favourite bit so far is when he does some early gigs and doesn't realise he's got the invisibility cloak on. No-one notices him. Nobody claps. "I may as well as not be here," he says to the barmaid during his break. She looks at him, her eyes focusing elsewhere, smiles pitifully, and then goes off with the fellow who came to install the new Spotify jukebox.

Molly Tuttle is a profound guitar player. I love the camera on the the guitar body for the close up of her fingers. It's amazing when people are so good at guitar. I could work the rest of my life to play that song at half the tempo if it were the only thing I worked on. It's only one of many brilliant songs in her repertoire. Is it too late now to go and practice more when I was younger?

Excellent, kind of reminds me of Amit's picking style too.

Thanks for posting this, it is astounding and inspiring.
Although on another level I do find it mildly annoying when very good players, when asked how they do something very difficult, say things like "I don't really think about it". Being able to play like this no doubt requires some innate ability (say, the wrist muscles twitch faster than average in some direction) but also a large amount of very focussed systematic practice. I don't mind if the best players don't want to tell us their secrets of success, but it seems disingenuous to suggest it just happens naturally.
Rant over...
