I have an ABC file of a tune I want to learn (and need in tab) but it's a different time signature. To save me retyping is there a quick way to convert an ABC or Tabledit file so that every crochet becomes a quaver and every quaver a semi-quaver etc.. It's only 20 or so bars but I'm feeling lazy!

It should be possible in the ABC file (using a text editor) by changing the time signature (M:) and the default note length (L:), then delete every other bar line...
P.S. I havn't ever done this - just imported the ABC file direct
