I miss it since it closed a couple of months ago. I used to walk past/go in regularly on my jaunts into this city......which was around 3 times a week. I bought my ukulele there.....and very nearly bought a squeezebox and banjo there. But no......a guitar, a ukulele and double bass (which was a bit of an impulse buy when I visited Germany in 1991.....stuck it in the back of my Ford Escort Mk 3 with the hatchback open so that the fingerboard stuck out the back of the car.....ferry company charged me an extra 20 Marks for the privelege) is probably enough for most men.

I live down south and visited York with my Dad for an ale trail.
We walked passed the shop and went in. They were very nice and let us have a go on some nice guitars. We weren’t really there to buy, however we did come out with a little Uke for my daughter.
A shame it has gone.
