I have a tc helicon play acoustic vocal harmoniser pedal. I like it very much. You can add some guitar effects like chorus and reverb. Also different pitches for the vocal harmonising, high low etc. Has loads of presets for songs. It also keeps your vocals in the key you are playing on your guitar. It has a looping function to. Plenty of demo videos on YouTube.

Brothers and Sisters I have my guitar, a Takamine TF740FS I have my amp, Schertler Jam 400. I’d like advice on the bells and whistles please. Microphones; one for vocals and one for guitar. Something I can use at home for practice and maybe the odd gig if I can muster the courage. I was looking at Shure SM58 for vocals and SM57 for guitar, but I am clueless so wide open to suggestions. Good advice on FX pedals for acoustic guitar Are they needed? Im aiming for a real acoustic sound or as near as possible. Any and all advice appreciated Coo Coo Cachoo I'm very new to pedals and my experience is limited to electric mandolin but if you're trying to keep an acoustic sound I'd suggest just an equaliser and perhaps a reverb pedal. I'm someone who actually knows about these things will put me right

I had somehow missed this thread, but I used this guitar with an AER Compact 60 and found that it worked very well with the Fishman ToneDEQ. It's EQ control was really effective and I always had the effects set to be very subtle, just really to give some extra ambience to the sound. I also had for a while a Boss A8 acoustic pedal which I think is generally regarded as being a better unit than the ToneDEQ, but for me and my setup the ToneDEQ worked much better and gave me a smoother and more 'pleasing' sound. However, I appreciate that's a very subjective statement but the amp on its own could sound a bit boxy.
I should also point out this setup was only ever used in the home at a normal volume so the differences between the Boss AD8 and Fishman ToneDEQ may have been quite different if used in larger environments at higher volumes.
Beyond some some subtle reverb, I am not a lover of acoustic effects which the ToneDEQ does well, but strangely it also has flanger and tremolo settings on it which I would not ever envisage using.
I think your amp is already a truly brilliant setup with first class effects so probably wouldn't so much need the help of an external unit like mine does, but I hope this is helpful anyway.
