By the way dreadnought28, do I spot an increase in your guitar count? A Franklin?

I'm going to raise my head above the parapet and admit that I quite like a lot of CdB's stuff - particularly his early way (Far beyond These castle Walls, Spanish Train, etc.) Mind you, I've never had a problem with James Blunt, either so what do I know?

Lady in Red was the end. Earlier stuff was ok.

Mrs Riverman refers to him as Chris De Boring. And she, as must be self evident to anyone who knows me, is a woman of impeccable taste...

As a non-performer I find myself wondering what the worst possible "you remind me of..." compliment from an audience member could be?
Demis Roussos?
Jonny Halliday?
That chap out of Boney M?

I'm mostly told that I sod like ..."nothing on earth". That may be another way of saying "Out of this world," so it could have been a compliment.

Early Chris D B was pretty much OK. Saw him live I’ve and he was pretty good!

Last year, because of the throat cancer business, I lost my voice completely. I still have days when it is difficult to talk. I've worked hard to get some sort of singing voice back and it sounds very different to me but most people say that my singing is like "nothing on earth" ... which is nice. .....?...)
Back in the "old days" :

The old version sounds more like Willie Nelson I thought - to me this is a good thing. I think they're both good. Nice resonator. What make is it? I've got a fairly cheap Ozark that I'm fairly happy with.
Martin.
