I always find it funny when people come up to you later a gig and say you remind of ...
Last night it was Ralph Mctell. The night before Clive Gregson.

I have a whole list of these, and for a laugh am thinking of adding a page on my website to list them. My favourite - and it’s been said by two different people - Johnny Cash...

I’m not sure if it’s true, but John Fahey is supposed to have told a young Leo Kottke that he sounded like a goose fart on a muggy day. Praise indeed !

I get told I sound like Nick Drake a lot, which I suppose I do in some ways (fingerpicked alternate tuned guitar, soft vocals) but I got told I sounded like John Denver the other week which was surprising...

I’ve often been told I sound like I should stick to my day job. Does that count?

I was standing at the Guinness bar at Cambridge folk Festival one year and a couple came up to me and said - "Hey, You're Mike Harding aren't you?"
I turned to my left and said, "no - he is" ... he was standing next to me!

Ho hum. The last week makes two Ralph Mctell and rather weirdly one John Denver. Slightly worried.
