These ones always seemed popular:
Tom Waits - I hope that I don’t fall in love with you
Over the rainbow. Eva Cassidy’s approach is popular.
Any number of Paul Simon songs
Why does it always rain on me.

“The store was selling it second hand, so there was a good discount........blah di blah.........” You don’t need to convince us, Martin. We’re with you all the way. It’s the memsahib you need reasons and excuses for. Looks smashing by the way.

I’m so relieved you got the hard case for it. I don’t want any damage before I take possession in Halifax. It IS a beauty.

I've only just come across this. It's as if someone's putting a playlist together just for me. Sarah Jarosz, the Milk Carton Kids, Sonny and Brownie. That's my listening for tomorrow sorted out. Thanks for this.

We were lucky this year. Went to the Glasgow concert and then to Gateshead the next week. It's always the highlight of Celtic Connections for us and Daoiri was not out of his depth in that company. Great singer. Passionate performance.

This is typical!!!!! I hang around all year in Glasgow and the one time I go abroad (Newcastle) you pass by and metaphorically wave to me!!!!

Just back from this Celtic Connections concert in the City Halls in Glasgow. Teddy Thompson performed beautifully. He's not blessed with great stage presence but he is a nice guitarist and he can sing. Thoroughly enjoyed his gig. I was really there because I am a confirmed Alison Moorer fan. She and her sister were the headline act. I would say that they were, at best, unprepared and under rehearsed. Their band was no better than can be heard in most bars on most evenings and not as good as some of those. At one point in the concert they, Moorer and Lynne, stopped mid song and asked if anyone in the audience knew the words of the second verse. A roadie appeared with a mobile phone having, I presume, googled the words for them. A disgraceful and unprofessional display. Alison Moorer gave a lovely rendition of her song 'Alabama'. Shortly after that I left the auditorium. They're in Dublin on Sunday and Manchester on Monday. I advise you to be otherwise engaged. I'd go back and see Teddy Thompson again in a heartbeat. You never know his mum might turn up too.

You'd think he'd at least try and put on a show for the camera.
