Me too! If we stretch it back to the start of December last year I've bought 2 guitars and an electric mandolin and sold one of those guitars, an octave mandolin and a different electric mandolin The only way I can put this is to say that I think our definitions of “busy” differ. I think that so far in 2019 I’ve bought approximately 17 guitars, 2 mandolins, 2 banjos and a cittern. Sold 8 guitars and a mandolin (roughly).

I am not worthy I did somehow forget a cello that I bought this week That surely counts as at least 3 guitars?

I thought I’d gotten myself to a safe space. My addiction was but a distant memory.
Then I bought yet another Waterloo (a lovely one) and placed an order on a custom Brook.
I am weak.

I also totally forgot about the Startone 1/2 size classical (£30) I bought which sits under my desk at work for lunchtime practice in the basement.

Usually I'm faithful to my guitars and always aim to keep them, but sometimes needs must. This year though, I haven't moved any on and ordered just one (shorter scale, out of necessity due to a hand injury).

In: One set of strings (these were won in a bet with the other member of the 'band' - Plymouth beat Bolton in the 1st round of the F.A. Cup so I now have a new set of strings), In: A lot of woodworking tools (You think GAS is bad - you should try WTAS - anyone got a router plane or a shoulder plane they want to move on)
Out: Nothing, although I'm thinking of selling the Stefan Sobell Cittern that I bought at auction about 2 years ago (John Renbourn used to own it but I hardly play it (I'm still trying to tame the mandolin I got 3 years ago and I'm determined to win no matter how long it takes).

There may be the plink plink of tiny strings coming along soon as well
