At that price level, I would expect good build quality and set up from a far Eastern made uke. It looks very nice. Found this review of a concert size version: Uluru II 8-string concert ukeI think Raymond Cowell makes 8 string ukes up in Newcastle.

Aye, the 4 string ones are ok - but the 8 string blew me away

Keith,
In the newly published Uke magazine (vol 1), there is a feature on Rob and it says (I quote)
'...at the upper end, a tenor in exotic woods with bound body, fretboard and headstock, French polish finish and an LR Baggs pickup might be £800 - £900 depending on the exact specification'
I must admit to eyeing up the possibility of a graduation pressie to myself next year when I finish the Open Uni i.e. another one of Rob's.

That's a lovely looking uke, Gav. Very distinctive too with the shape/design.
