John Doyle, JP Cormier, Tim Edey, Jenn Butterworth
About this time of the year there is an amazing trad festival in Cape Breto. Not this year though.
I was searching for some live streams from this year's virtual festival when I found this from last year!
Enjoy!

That second vid of JPC and Tim Edey was superb to watch - love Tim's obvious enjoyment, his superb musicality, use of dynamics/emphasis and his ability to make several almost seamless capo shifts at various stages. I'm not a great fan of machine gun rate flatpicking, mostly because I'm envious I suppose, but also because excellent though it is as a technical feat it usually sounds very one-dimensional to me, but here JPC did vary things a little with the harmonic and tapping passages which blended well and there's no douubting the man's technical ability.
The first bit had some lovely moments although other bits demonstrated well why four acoustic guitarists playing together can often be one or two too many! Still enjoyed watching it though, and it must have been really exciting to have been actually present at the event.
Thanks for these Andy!
