TNAG will send guitars over from Nashville but it seems to me a very complicated way of working, globalisation gone mad I think. I was interested in a guitar that they had in Nashville, they had it sent over to the UK, then over to me in Ireland, it didn't suit me so I returned it. The only cost to me was losing money on the exchange rate and anxiety waiting for my refund. I don't see how they can run a business like this, perhaps it is the future! On the other hand TFOA are an absolute joy to deal with and indeed to visit if you can. I agree with everyone else, Trevor is certainly "a character".

malcolm I struggled to understand how that business model could ever work - you could see why they expanded the range but that would have led to other problems.
They may come back as:if COVID is dealt with - which is the reason they give for the move. But essentially they seem to have bought a store in the USA.
I also thought it odd to take on Dream Guitar but it seems as if the focus of the Nashville store is the boutique world rather than high end luthiery.
As with so many things at the moment the big question is what can come back after COVID.

I wonder if Trevor TAMCO will now reconsider selling high-end acoustics now TNAG don't have a presence here in the UK. I only visited once and it was quite an experience - I was with Jason Kostal and at the time he commented that it was the only place to play 'holy grail' luthier guitars back-to-back. Jonny

I bought some lovely instruments from TAMCO over the years but the last straw for me was when I took a Martin 028 to him.My daughter did the delivery and he denied all knowledge of the transaction and was abrupt and very rude to her - That was the final straw. Im nevertheless glad that hes still surviving but his social skills seem limited!
