Someone has just posted this on one of my recent YouTube Videos: I can't hear what they are referring to, so I wonder if one or two of you would please mind having a listen to a few recent videos on my channel through fresh ears & decent headphones or monitors and tell me if you can spot it? My recent videosI have realised, as my interface nears it's tenth birthday the noise floor has gradually crept up, but I didn't think it was complain-on-a-random-youtube-video bad, but it may be that I'm too used to it to notice. Alternatively it's my sloppy technique and he's hearing fretbuzz... Anyhow, thanks in advance for your feedback

I couldn't hear any buzzing or rattling Pete. Everything sounds great to me!

Sounded fine to me Pete. Played it through my Lux 507X amp and Ferrograph studio monitors.

No probs here either, Pete. Some foot-tapping here and there but that's a good "noise".
Maybe your commenter has defective speakers/headphones/ears/internet connection?
Or maybe just a trolling chancer...
Keep up the good work - I look forward to your Sunday offerings very much.

St James Infirmary sounded fine. The chair creaked at 1 min 45 secs when you leant back for the solo but it didn't detract from the song which as excellent by the way. Iain

Thanks, chaps - I'm pretty at peace with the foot-taps, chair-creaks etc (in fact a lot of the foot-tapping is a deliberate attempt to provide some percussion). After some very careful headphone listening, I think there's a bit of high-frequency AC interference from somewhere, like a constant clickclickclickclickclick but it's very faint. I wonder if the chap commenting is a little younger, so is better able to pick up on the high end than I am. Although it's probably something I should deal with, I'm reassured by all your responses it isn't completely wrecking all my videos though

theres nothing wrong with it — I think he might be referring the occasional thumb thump on the bass string which is just what a guitar sounds like. I suspect some people don't know what real sounds like anymoe as so much has Izotope removing fret noise and so on!
Mind you — if you insist on playing a tin can ...

My ears are pretty much gubbed (I blame My Bloody Valentine in 1991 and sitting too close to amps) but I could hear absolutely nothing wrong with those.

Mind you — if you insist on playing a tin can ... A tin can with dead strings at that...* *they were brand new the last time I needed to take it out for something. Which I'm pretty sure would have been a recording session a year ago last May.

bit late to the party here but I obviously do have good ears (despite having also been to a my bloody valentine gig!) because I can hear it - it's almost like the interference you get from a 'noisy' monitor or other electrical item...
I have to say it's very obvious to me on both my macbook speakers and through headphones - to be honest it would put me off listening so, if you can deal with it, it'd be worth dialling it out...

despite having also been to a my bloody valentine gig!) I saw them twice - 2nd time was with The Jesus and Mary Chain, Dinosaur Jr and (inexplicably) Blur. That was a loud gig! I'm sure I read that for their reformation gigs a few years back MBV were handing out earplugs to the audience!

Yes it was at one of the reformation gigs I saw them... we left after 10 minutes during the feedback outro and, when we got back to the car, I thought I had a flat tyre... but it was the noise coming from the venue still... I wore the earplugs they handed out...

No earplugs in my schooldays!
