Hi, I have a guitar built by Vince in 1998, and have had little contact with him since.
Today, due to my YouTube presence, I have been asked for contact details.
Vince lives (or lived) in Southampton,
If anyone has any info, I'd be much obliged.
thanks Ol' Andy

The last contact details I have are :
EDIT by keith - details removed as this is a public board rather tham members only - as Vince seems hard to trace it may be that he would like it to stay that way. I have copied the details and PMd them to Andy, so thanks Ian. Hope that's OK with you. K
Cheers,
Ian

At the risk of sounding paranoid or like self-appointed internet police, would it be better to keep personal details to private messages rather than posting them on the board?
I'm not a spy or on the run but I'd still prefer not to have my information posted publicly.

- I'm inclined to agree there, Dave, thanks. See post edit above. Keith

Cheers, Ian Bit in bold is good to remember. I have heard that whenever there are large public incidents and social media gets a lot of "have you seen...?" posts, many of them are from people looking for others for completely unrelated reasons - spouses who fled abuse, people who owe money, criminals seeking revenge etc - all these things are real. So one should always be careful about responding - know who you're responding to and find out if the person you are giving information about wants to be found.

I agree with most of the above but I can't help think it's all got a bit O.T.T. I'm beginning to feel sorry for curmudgeon.

Hi guys, I thought I'd asked for details by private message - ah well, I'm old and must have dozed off!
However, Keith's concerns are understood and I respect them. I now have Vince's contact details.
The person who contacted me wants to buy a mandolin from VH, but lost his contact details. To respect privacy concerns, I intend to contact Vince myself and ask him if he wants his details forwarded or not.
Thanks to Keith, and all. Ol'Andy

Cheers, Ian No worries at all Keith and totally understood. I guess my natural inclination to be helpful sometimes overrides other considerations... Glad that Andy has the details he was after... Cheers, Ian

I am also trying to contact Vince. I inherited a beautiful Martin 000-28 from my Dad who bought it from Vince and trusted only him to work on it. I'd love to get it serviced and want to try and take it to Vince if I can. I'd really appreciate it if you could pass along his contact details to me too,

Welcome to the forum.
A bit of a tenuous connection but a friend of mine from a completely different non guitar related forum was loosely friends with Vince, and he told me he is retired.
Post up some pictures of your 000-28 though! If you need recommendations for a good luthier to carry out the repair, I'm sure someone here could provide some depending on your locality.
