Very surprisingly I've only recently 'found' Jackson Browne's music and have really enjoyed some of his stuff. He uses quite a few different tunings which I also am experimenting with.
Only last week I came across two cds of his, recorded from live shows in the 'noughties' and which feature his songs played solo acoustic. I've just got the first CD and have ordered the second. But if it's as good as the first it will join my favorites list. I like a lot of the arrangements in his original recordings but somehow, just him and his guitar (and sometimes piano) allows the arrangement and lyric to come through even stronger. Many of the tracks on these cds also have an intro from him about the songs. Here's the first track of album 1.

I have both these lovely CD’s bought years ago when I used to listen to acoustic stuff with words 🙂

I saw him a few years ago, in the Before Times, just him and David Lindley... absolutely sublime.
Here's another more recent version, with the wonderful Greg Leisz on lap steel. I've got a Rickenbacher B6 like the one he's playing, but somehow mine doesn't sound much like that.

Haven't put anything on this thread for ages but came across this today. And when I say 'stripped back' I mean 'stripped back'.
Of course helps if you have a voice like Rachael Price ...
