Together with Keith, I had great pleasure today presenting the winner of The Young Acoustic Guitar Musician's Competition 2013 - James Daubney - with his prize, "Samhradh". James is a great talent and I look forward to watching his career progress and hear the music he and "Samhradh" make together. Christmas comes early as James opens the case: I think he likes it: Trying the K&K Trinity system plugged in: Formal presentation photos with yours truly: And Keith on behalf of Acoustic Soundboard: Many thanks to James and parents for their hospitality. Many thanks also to all who entered the Competition and all who commented and spread the word. If any members can help James in his quest for gigs then drop him a pm.

Congratulations James. Lovely to see a good award ceremony and even better to see a young fellow all dressed up for the occasion

Well done everyone involved. I look forward to seeing - and hearing - James's thrive with Samhradh.
A fine collection of beards too. The resonant advantages of facial hair in playing acoustic guitar must surely warrant proper scientific investigation, if Dave hasn't already done so....

Congratulations James, and long may you make her sing. Much respect to Dave for his vision and generosity.
Beards though? I fear that the strange chemical reactions occurring through the conjunctions of all the beer, gravy and sundry other foodstuffs that get stuck in those things may one day engender new and terrible life forms.

I fear that the strange chemical reactions occurring through the conjunctions of all the beer, gravy and sundry other foodstuffs that get stuck in those things may one day engender new and terrible life forms. Can't see the problem. We could do with some new life forms to deal with the disasters perpetuated by the existing ones. Brian
