Can't beat a Telecaster! Hope all is improving on the health front. I only got the cherry one recently and despite having shed loads of guitar over the years have never had a telecaster. Health still crap. They can’t find out what’s up with me. Getting old is shit. |

I love telecasters and macaroni cheese. Adding bacon is sheer indulgence. Getting old IS shit so you take care of yourself.  |

Congrats on the new Tele, and v best wishes on the health front. Have just this evening been discussing with Glyn how shitty it is getting old - you aren't alone Sean. We found that whisky and songs helped a lot this evening - hope your fab looking bacon mac and cheese worked the same way for you.

We all hope for the possibility but rue the reality. In my head I am still 18 but every attempt to get out of bed in the morning proves the contrary. The older you get, it seems the more of you there is and the less of it works properly. Though, while mind and body may creak, getting old is certainly preferable to the alternative. I should not wish to be a teenager now, growing up in this world of hate, corruption, greed and entitlement. My generation of the 1950s has been incredibly fortunate. We expected little but had great opportunity, with the chance of free higher education, proper careers and comfortable retirement. Above all else we had real hope for a brighter future after the Second World War. I can only count my blessings, though this won’t stop me complaining about my failing faculties, perpetual aches and pains, sensitive digestion and ever-shrinking bladder. |

There's a saying isn't there: "Getting old is not for wimps" - someone knew. Get Well Yep... "Everything hurts, and what doesn't hurt doesn't work anymore"
Off to see the cardiologist on Tuesday to discuss the result of various tests, the GP having heard strange noises when I went for a checkup. The only good thing so far is that he advised me not to exercise at the gym until we get an opinion from the expert, and that is *fine* by me (although it may not go down well with Mrs.T)

And.... bugger. The cardiologist is saying heart surgery, which is not exactly what I was wanting. Oh well... upward and onward!
