You have to wonder about this forum sometimes. There are threads set to discus the important things relating to our collective passion – the acoustic guitar. Some of these threads only attract a few comments.
Then there is a thread like this one that has no subject matter at all, is just titled ‘TEST’ and is well on its' way to three pages. Now we all assume it was a test relating to the posting of a thread. However, given the numerous weird and wonderful responses it would appear it is a ‘test’ to see the calibre of ageing bloke that frequents this forum and where they go when presented with an empty space to fill their heads.
Fascinating.
Anyway, back to the empty space……….. A week ago, the doorbell rang to reveal a snail on the doorstep. The snail looked up at me and asked if I could play my guitar more quietly. I picked him up, told him to sod off and threw him to the bottom of the garden. Then, last night, the doorbell rang again. I opened the door to find the same snail looking a bit rough. He looked up at me and said “What did you do that for?”

With all due respect to Leo, can’t stop until we reach Liverpool’s Lime Street… Slime Street surely? I deliberately kept to something which, if said carefully, achieves the same result without risking the fearsome wrath of Leo and other scousers by maligning their beloved station. |

I think their tolerance and good nature hits thi s nail firmly on the head. I am so grateful that it was Brian who originally escalated this topic into a thing of great beauty. Florence and Dougal agree with me. |
