The next piece I'm working on in The Guitarist's Way book 2, is a study, and its quite tricky at first. I played through the treble notes on their own then introduced the bass part. Its a nice sounding piece and I look forward to being able to play it fluently. I particularly love the G# to A ending. Nice resolution.

Oooh, quite a historical document there, Larry.
Remember to play the top line by plucking with alternate fingers (m-i or i-m - choose which and stick to it) except where there's a minim - after which start the next bar with the minim finger.
And fretting fingers - use 1st finger at first fret (ie the C and F notes); ]2nd finger at second fret (ie the A notes) and 3rd finger at third fret (ie D notes) and 4th finger for the final bar as marked.
You should be able to keep your fretting hand in the same position right up until the last note (or two).
Good luck!
Keith

Cheers Keith. I'm already familiar with pima playing having spent some time trying to learn classical. Its much better than using the same finger

As some who can't read a note, that looks fantastically complicated. Is it?

Talking of Morse code... a little bit of musically related trivia (which you probably know):
.. is the Morse code for M and -- is the code for I
Put them together in a beat and you get the iconic 'Mission Impossible' theme: Duh duh, duuh., duuhh...
Cool, eh?
