That is a very pretty guitar :-). I'm kinda in awe of people who can make things like that.

I had the pleasure of having a brief encounter with 'An' on Monday, what a belter! Gorgeous, inspired all sorts of music from my fingers. I'm a huge fan of Dave's guitars as it is, but really taken aback by this one. Lovely detailing and especially like the rosette and choice of tuners, classy.
Dave's guitars continue to develop both sonically and build-wise; the diminutive size belies its stature as a serious player's guitar. I'm thinking of other sole makers who make similar instruments, Tony Revell and Dave King spring to mind, both good makers, but Dave's instruments, particularly this new addition to his range, have a bit of alchemy/magic/sparkle in the mix too.

The pear is most unusual but fits beautifully with the other woods. Lovely sounds too...I particularly liked the tones capo'd at the 5th fret...something I've noticed on several of your guitars...maybe becoming a De Faoite trademark?!

SDT - thanks.
Jonny - its sounded mighty fine to me when you were playing. There's a myth that small guitars are "boxy" and lack depth, volume and projection and they do get dismissed too easily. I'm really excited about playing this one as a Terz with other guitars.
Andrew - thank you. Pear is a lovely wood that you can get both plain and "blingy" and deserves to be more widely used - Lowden used it in 2004 for some of their 30th Anniversary instruments and I know that Adrian Lucas uses it too.

Beautiful looking guitar Dave, and I really loved listening to, and playing "her" (not that I personally did her justice)at HB4, sounded amazing! Maybe you could arrange a road trip for her... Glyn

Nice work Dave. I like the look of the pear. If it's not too rude, where did you get it? Cheers Gary
