Isn't that phantastic ? Mark Thomson's CDs The Traveller's Tale and Solway Sunset and Keith's CDs Butterfly, Guitar! and Tunes From The Spare Room are all listed on the world's No.1 audio platform Spotify. Huge congratulations to ocarolan, markthomson and, of course, davewhite! You very well deserve it! I honestly hope that there's some kind of benefit for you...

Blimey, that's news to me Bernd! While I doubt this represents any great honour, or even implies any merit in my tunes, obviously I'll be buying a controlling shareholding in DeFaoite Guitars, Fylde Guitars and Lowden Guitars with the huge revenues that will undoubtedly be heading my way any day now! :irony: Keith

No need for irony, Keith. After all, Spotify has about 20 million listeners worldwide. That's at appx 20 million potential Ocarolan fans I got curious and found out that you can also listen to slidingwolf 's CDs Now & Then Songs and Slideas as well as Rupert Hawkes's (Dweezil) Oktopod. davidmead 's Nocturnal and Arboretum are also highly recommended. Seems that Spotify has finally recognized the huge potential gained from artists from the Acoustic Soundboard forum

Martin, I have no idea. But I got curious about that myself and have decided to find out about it.
As soon as my investigations show some results I'll let you know.
As far as I know at least half of a.m. CD's are more or less "half-official". It will be very interesting to find out about the Hows and Whys.

Bernd, I'll be very interested to see what you discover. I "did the right thing" and paid the PRS license fee for the cd I produced (I would love to think some distant relative of Blind Willie Johnson gets a few pence as a result). But that covered cd reproduction only, not broadcast on other media forms.
Most bizarre!

Intersting, isn't it?
Well, as online enquiry is part of my job I will get some answers. It might take a while, but there will be some information, that's for sure.

Bernd
Do you have those albums as local files on your pc. Spotify has the ability to be a media player for local mp3 etc. I have looked on Spiritual and can't find any of those albums.

Brilliant thought Nick - I'm sure Bernd will have at least some of them on his PC - I hope that's the reason!

I see a gap in the market for a new music sensation called "SpotiHerbert" or "SpotiDick". I'll have this up and running after I have launched "Arsebook"
