Yes, I have a Larrivee. It is a 12 fret Dreadnought - the SD-50 TSB - sitka/mahogany, with a large soundhole, slotted headstock, maple binding, abalone rosette, and TOTAL sunburst all over (even up the neck!) Althgh it has been lightly gigged it is in showroom condition (and ten years old!)
This is one very high quality Larrivee "traditional" series.
It is currently on consignment at TAMCO in Brighton, please have a look on their website.
It is wonderful and if it doesn't sell soon, I'm gonna take it back and play it some more - I kinda miss it.

I have a Larrivee L03RE (spruce/rosewood and with LR Baggs pickup) and I like it very much. I would agree with the comments above that the L02 series are pretty similar and cheaper, though I don't think they do a rosewood version. The neck on the 03 is one piece compared to the the 02, though not sure that makes much difference.
The Larrivee has a wide fingerboard (46mm at the nut) which I love but maybe not to everyone's taste. They're all known for being very balanced and I'd say that's true of mine too. Can maybe be a little muddy in the bass but generally I like sound very much.

I think I saw this one on youtube for sale if its the right/same guitar?? Yup - this is the one : It is a truly lovely guitar. I was offered a rather special Collings a little while ago which , whilst I really didn't "need" it - proved irresistible, and so I simply didn't have room for all the black cases and so as this was still in perfect condition, and I'd got into the Collings - I put this one out on consignment. Tamco did sell my 12 string for me so I suppose I could find a storage place for it - but.......

so my research continues with a view to my next purchase in the future and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or has played Larrivee guitars? The OM-03 is the one I have heard online thus far which does sound nice but have read differing accounts that its a fingerpickers guitar and not for strumming really?
Also the Taylor 314ce also sounds pretty nice.
Any thoughts team My thoughts... I could be convinced to sell mine if the price was right... I've posted these previously, but will put a few here: Fingerstyle (thumbpick and one fingerpick). These are all played with a plectrum: AllegroWaltz (Carulli)Like a plank, I hoovered the dog hair out of this (yes really) and managed to damage the side, though this has been repaired by Rory Dowling (Taran guitars), so the price would reflect this. All the recordings were done after its little visit to Rory. Let me know if you are interested /want some pics. If plugged in is your thing, I've got a Marshall AS50 I'd be willing to part with also

Eastman are their own brand, made in Beijing. I haven't tried their guitars but have been selling their mandolins for years, they are very good for the money.

Hi Phil There was an Eastman E60M in Acoustic Guitars review of 11 Affordable Small Body Flattops. Acoustic Guitar Review Eastman E60MI reckoned it was one of the three (along with the Blueridge and Tanglewood)that took my attention as being most worthy of note. Mark

Anyone know where online stocks a decent selection of Larrivee guitars please - I have come across a few but usually not the models I am looking into (OM 02 / 03 /04 /05 L- 02 / 03 / 05) or they are discontinued, hmm. Also the cut out models is that just the 'look' or does it make any difference in how the guitar sounds? Cant decide if I am bothered wether I get normal body or one with a cut away? cheers

Anyone tried the Avian guitars advertised at the North American Guitar? They seem to be getting good reviews...
Maybe worth a punt...
