Hi,
1. There is a repeat of the 2-part Eagles documentary starting BBC 4 on Saturday at 10.30 pm. I watched first time round and it was excellent.
Perfect timing for me as
2. And, at a cost which I dare not think about, I'm seeing the Eagles live on Wednesday evening at Birmingham. I usually refuse to pay the sort of money for these gigs, but this was a Christmas present so a once in a lifetime opportunity will be brilliant; can't wait!

FFJ Nice!! I'm a big Eagles fan. Have seen them twice. Once at the football stadium in Huddersfield and the last time was at the Manchester Arena (now Phones 4U arena) both extremely enjoyable. Have a good birthday pressy Phil

Really talented band, few bands shared duties of song writing/lead vocals like they did throughout their line-ups.
I imagine they'd be a great band live.

Like all above I have the greatest respect for the band although it has been though many different formats. I watched this programme some time ago, and I'm grateful to the OP for advising me - I'll be sure to record it.
What I do remember from watching it last time was that Don Henley is probably not the sort of person that I'd like to make music with. He seemed very greedy and controlling.
I'll not pay enormous sums to be a dot in a football sized crowd again - and for this reason I have/will miss James Taylor and Emmylou Harris.
But I'll watch the programme - thanks.

Only just seen this so I hope you enjoyed your birthday present. The documentary is well past my bedtime but I'll definitely be recording it.

There's someone on a local FB selling 3 tickets for 31st May in Glasgow (on the off-chance anyone is interested).
