Yeah, they've made the neck a little wider but kept the string spacing the same, so you have a little more room for wiggling the low and high E's before slipping off the side of the neck. TBH they don't really feel like Gibson's any more, starting to feel more like one of their competitors....the ones they sued for making a singlecut guitar. No one really seems to want the Min-Etunes. Gibson seem to like to tell us that everyone does, but the reality in the shop is that they don't. However, they do work and are easy to remove, although you have paid for it as pointed out earlier. I don't think it adds £200 to the price of the guitar, Gibson have probably ordered so many that the economies of scale mean the cost per guitar isn't anywhere near that. Maybe to buy the system separately it costs that much. It is difficult I guess. They have to do something new, but they seem to have a very heavy handed approach to making everyone have the new thing.

I just can't see them selling that many guitars this year, as the combination of the features of Robot Tuners, super wide neck, etc etc are going to be too much to ask. A good point about the new Gibsons not really feeling like Gibsons any more. They are like Trigger's broom (from Only Fools and Horses)

They'll sell guitars, no doubt about that. The shops that have to stock them may struggle!
