That Vaporiser looks cool but is a bit pokey for my needs. But I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

That looks and sounds amazing! What a sound from such a tiny box! I've been looking for a cosy living room amp, and this seems ideal.

I've been very impressed by every Blackstar amp I've tried. With the fly 3, for an extra £20 you get an extension cab and it can be used as speakers for laptop, tablet or MP3 player, as well as guitar amp with aux input, making it super versatile.

That's a bit big, fancy and pricey for my needs! Nice, though I used to see Stevie Flynn playing with Jamie Barnes in Glasgow 20-odd years ago - great guitar player! There's a bit of useless trivia

There's a bit of useless trivia I remember. I own the Deluxe, utterly brilliant amp. If you're ever in Glasgow with an hour or two to kill you're welcome to try it out. Needs to be daytime though, the sucker is loud! Back to the Blackstar, kind of tempted but it would mean less to spend on bike bits!

Very cool - lovely sounding amp! I could justify the wee Blackstar by bigging up the portable speaker side to it

Just ordered one of these tiny amps, so I'll give my expert opinion once it arrives

Well, it's arrived and been opened, but sadly not been able to test just yet. I am impressed, however, that it came supplied with SIX 'AA' batteries already fitted - a luxury not often afforded when buying electronic devices. Anyway, here it is, and I'll hopefully be able to review it better later... The grand 'unboxing' What the knobs look like - decent selection of effects and inputs here - main guitar jack, line in for MP3/AUX and headphone socket. The knobs feel nice and solid too, just like on their bigger amps such as the HT5-RS. In all its naked glory - even comes with a 'free' sticker! How rock'n'roll is that?

I've played a bit with it over the weekend, and I must say it's a fantastic little amp, both for its size and cost.
Clean sounds are pure, warm and crackle-free, with a surprising amount of volume. With the gain cranked up just a notch and using a high-output humbucker, the sound breaks up nicely when played hard. Of course, with the overdrive channel on, and the gain and volume up, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was a full-sized practice amp - the sound is huge and the tone is superb.
The delay when tweaked a little adds a bit of the 'room depth' missing since the amp has no reverb, and this works just fine. Turned up, the delay functions as you'd expect with a perfect echo that will suit certain music/tunes.
Overall, I love it. It's compact, solid, easy to use, great value and produces much louder and richer sounds than I'd ever expected when I ordered it.
I can't think of anything negative to say - I'll try to get some video/sound of it in action too.

Damn you Martin, I'd neither wanted a new amp or had heard of this Blackstar jobby before reading this. So I spent the last hour online reading up about them..... Now I'm going to have to go out tomorrow and buy one, or more likely go to Absolute Music on the way home this afternoon. That's £70 you owe me, cos I NEED the one with the extension cabinet and power supply.
