I tend to agree with Leo — a fine performance but a bit too smooth for me. I've always found this a difficult song to sing as it demands a strict tempo and is quite repetitive — I find I drift off and get lost during it !!!
I much prefer Shawn Colvin doing her own stuff!

I should also say, the first time I ever heard of Shawn Colvin was when she opened for Richard Thompson many years ago !!!

I should also say, the first time I ever heard of Shawn Colvin was when she opened for Richard Thompson many years ago !!! Me too! I saw them up in Manchester. Not only did she open the night, she also played in his band.
