Well, clearly it's a box of some sort - maybe a blanket box? Who knows? It's solid mahogany and was in the outhouse of my late Mother-In-Law's house and had been for over 30 years holding a selection of vintage, mostly rusted, tools. But that was then... And now, due to the skill and craftsmanship of davewhite, it is about to become the back, sides, neck, linings and blocks of a short scale "An Tairneanach Mor" 12-er

I really look forward to seeing some pre build pictures of seeing the box being cut up to make the sets suitable for the 12 string. I have a wardrobe which I have a suspicion is made from Cuban Mahogany, which I hope one day will be reincarnated as a guitar..
Good to see Dave make another 12 string!

Incidentally, I have a couple of old Alma guitars which might make a nice wardrobe.

I really look forward to seeing some pre build pictures of seeing the box being cut up to make the sets suitable for the 12 string. I think the sawing has already been done ... not sure if davewhite took any pics of that (I seem to recall that colins was with him)

Likely to have had a camera, or both lying blind drunk?

My ' eye-candy ' comment was directed at the Gibson J200, of course. Wrong ' quote button'

Change of plan ... spending 30 years in an outhouse severely affected the ability to be bent! So that wood is now being stored for a Ceol Binn for some lucky punter and the remainder of the sapele from another chest of drawers is going to make up the back and sides of the 12-er. This means it'll be a lovely match for the surprise Nøkken tenor guitar davewhite made for me pre-Christmas. Which is actually a rather lovely idea
