Beautiful!! Did you know Bubinga makes fabulous hard fretboards - an absolute pain in the whotsit to work with (dulls blades quickly) but I have used them on my previous four guitars...when smoothed to a mirror finish with some crazy grade grit it has a little chatoyance as well....

Sam, Yes it does take the edge of the scrapers pretty quickly but has a gorgeous finished look with very small pores. I think it would make excellent fingerboards and as ebony seems to becoming pretty much like hens teeth to get now it's another string to the bow.

That was a fascinating read. As an engineer involved in manufacturing i am always looking to minimise variation however your article shows the beauty of craftsmanship. You have a tremendous skill

"A master is someone who has made more mistakes than you, has made mistakes you haven’t made yet, and has learned how to embrace them--thus learning to see them coming before they happen. So you go towards mastery one mistake at a time. How many mistakes can you stand? As many as it takes to be a master. The master has persevered past the errors until he's made all of them." There can't be many quotations truer than this... Brilliant work , photography and comment Dave...thanks for posting.
