Bridge under pressure! Note the two 4mm drill bits locating the bridge via the two outside bridge pin holes (still to be tapered).

Strings are on now. leaving it to settle for a few days then think about intonation and cutting the saddle slot(s). I have an allen key as a temp saddle at the mo but I think a split saddle may be needed. Looking at my builds so far all the rosewood b&s guitars have needed split saddles but the maple ones have all been fine with a single piece. As this ones amazique it'll be interesting to see what's needed here.

I saw this guitar and Saturday (without strings!) and it is, like all Francis' guitars, beautifully made.
Looking forward to hearing it, Francis.

Virtually there now. Intonation on the low E string a tad flat at the 12th fret so need to touch-up the saddle slot.
Also the intonation has meant me needing a 3 piece saddle. Splashed out on one of StewMac's intonators and this is the first guitar I've used it on. Really nice to be able to get everything up to tension and make adjustments to individual strings.
Will post some photos in the next day or so.

You sure this isn't another mock-up? Looks far too perfect to be real - and how did you get it to float in the fog like that? Can't see any strings - well, I can see six but you know what I mean.
Excellent work and I'd love to hear it. It's also only the third guitar I've seen with a 3-part saddle (including my own). Did it help? I reckon we'll have them all doing it soon.

Hi rthef, No strings other than the twangy ones. Front and back images were cut-out in Photoshop and placed in a new file. The graduated background was then dropped in behind them... I didn't know what to expect when intonating this one. Previously the maple guitars have all had single piece compensated saddles, rosewood guitars have all had two piece saddles. This one is Amazique so I didn't know what I might get. I splashed out on a StewMac intonator www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Tools_by_Job/Tools_for_Measuring/The_Intonator.html and found afterwards that there was no straight line across the intonation points for each string. I either had to use single points for each string or have 3 short saddles - I chose the 3 saddle option. More photos now in the albums section
