Glad you are enjoying.I believe Ted has two builds on the go at the moment so will be a busy man. Apologies if thread is a bit all over the place.Hopefully my narrative will keep you suitably informed and the pictures hopefully speak for themselves. will continue to post as and when i get anything

No photos at the moment but Ted is going to be adding a floting back brace to the build. This is similar to what Jeff Traugott does but will be a slimmer version. On looking on the web about what this does a good but simple explanation is the following
The floating back brace that stands up of the back plate of the instrument, only connecting to the other braces allows the back to keep its shallow radius and resonate more freely. It is also a system that keeps the back from flattening out over time by adding strength and can help prevent the need for neck re sets from the neck block having rotated inwards, thus raising the action and de stabilising the saddle Movement and flattening out of the back can be a contributing factor in the top caving in over time
And if all that sounds too technical.well I feel comfortable in the fact that Ted along with others in his perfectionist craft worry over these things so we don't have too
I will get photos posted when I get them
Take it easy
A lot of what's available about the floating back brace tends to mention long term stability and strength and as I'm only 47 I hope to repost about this in another 47 years and let you know my findings Until then Bye

Ted has been busy working on the top too. busy fitting and gluing down the braces and reinforcing the sound hole.He will then shape the braces to achieve the desired effect

This one shows the bending of an inner side for lamination to the Brazilian Rosewood sides.Ted will complete the rest when he comes back to work and start on the body....cant wait This is part of an email from Ted...I use mahogany for the inner side lamination. The reason for mahogany is: It's light weight and when you look inside the guitar it matches the heel block, neck block and linings ( the linings are ceder thou, to give that lovely smell for all of the sound hole sniffers), an extra added feature That's it for now Hope you all have a great festive season.Be safe Cheers to all
