I'm trying to learn James Morrison you make it real atm . I have been watching him play it on you tube,slowed it down etc know all the chords just can't figure out the strumming pattern ! If anyone could help It would be appreciated:)

Thumbstrums and fingerstrums - worth trying to emulate, but I wouldn't worry about attempting to copy exactly what he's doing - there is no fixed pattern, and it would be better to concentrate on keeping the flow of the song working - learn the words in the right timing and let your guitar part spring from that, as I suspect he is doing; i.e. feel it rather than analyse it. I'm sure he'd play it differently every time anyway. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply I appreciate it . Normally my tactic is to watch a video of someone playing on YouTube and if you go to settings you can slow it right down then note everything down like pauses , chord changes strumming pattern etc and work on it and feel the music as you say but this one seems to have me stumped ! I'm sure I'll figure it out with a bit more practice!
