How do you post pics here lads keeps saying file too big! Kev, you can only upload very small files directly. You need to upload your pics to a hosting site , eg Photobucket, and then use the IMG codes they provide for each pic - copy/paste the IMG code into your "compsoe post" screen - the pics appear when finally posted. Alternatively you could reduce the size of your pics to less than 1mB each on your PC/Mac with Photo software and then upload directly, but the option above is as quick and gives better results. Hope that helps! Keith

alternativley reduce the size of the image in camera before taking the shot reduce down to around 1 million pixels and set quaility to normal and it should work and of high enough quality to fit on the screen without distortion .

After reading all the good stuff on the forum at the moment about Sigma guitars and the amount of people who are playing them and enjoying them , maybe we should start a fan club .

Ha true should set a Sigma fan section on this forum.. Are you hanging onto your Sigma now then? Yes Kev ive decided to keep her as id only end up regretting letting her go . The first time i played it i knew i had to buy it no doubt, so to sell her would be stupid as ive done it a hundred times before . I will eventually get round to fitting a K&K pickup in it to make it more versatile .

Do you need any kinda pre amp for it, or just plug straight into an amp?

I have put K&K minis in a fair few instruments. You can plug straight into an amp certainly, and even direct to PA if you wish. The sound is rather better via my K&K XLR Pure preamp though (esp into PA)- a bit airier and more realistic. Other preamps are available! I also use a Baggs PADI and sometimes an Orchid Electronics preamp - these both work v well. Even a Boss eq pedal works well enough at the expense of some noise if I cut/boost a lot.
The thing about the preamp also is that you then have some control at your fingertips, plus the crucial mids are controllable via preamp and combo, which, if their mid controls have different frequencies, can be really good.

The Orchid is a great piece of kit - deceptively simple looking and somewhat industrial in appearance, but does a superb job quickly, easily and intuitively. I was lucky enough to find one on eBay some while back, v cheap! But phantom power on my big mixer has packed up, so needed to get a small phantom powering unit; worth it though. Nice mute button on the Orchid too. The mic stand clamp is a bit clunky to use though is OK once you get it clamped on. Keith

Hi I also bought this guitar and its amazing, your review did convince a little more too thanks. I did end up when at the music shop buy the martin 000x1ae influenced by one of their martin mad sales staf, kept it for 1 night and took it back, just felt pure plastic, horrible feel looked crap, not finish on guitar no binding nothing pure rubbish, tone was nice I must say, but felt no love. Took it back next day and picked up this baby 00028v love it. Workmanship is class finish is outstanding made of actual wood, and sounds as good as the martin x series imho.. Love it, I did take it to a local luthier for a decent set up, and new strings, dropped from 12s to 11s much better to play now. Cracking guitar for the bucks.... I was wondering has anyone put electronics into theirs or do you think just using a mic will do...? Been playing of the idea of adding electronics to her. Underdecided of yet... Kev if you had the 00028 at a luthier for a set up and within 2 weeks its developed a hump in the neck then id be taking it back to the luthier in question . you also posted a while back about adjusting a truss rod although you say you are a novice , could you have caused the hump yourself ? Also you say that you had no choice in getting the sigma as the salesman wouldnt give you a refund on the Martin you had although they had faiths and the Ed Sheeran model which you said was crap only 2 weeks later its the best thing and you keep going back to try it out . Now your getting a Faith and as it turns out youd offered your bent Sigma to another forum member in a swap knowing it had a fault and also knowing that that member was at the time trying to contact me regards buying mine . A few answers needed here please .

I am not answerable to anybody especially not YOU. I am willing to answer some of your misquoted and misguided questions to clear a few things up.. I had it set up by a music tech who specialises in pianos and has lots of experience with guitars also. It didn't develop a hump after two weeks at all, It was set up in December I noticed the hump recently it is April now. The guitar quite possibly always had the hump I don't know. The hump is where the neck is over the body so no truss rod adjustment is going to make any difference, even the shop I bought it from agreed and he adjusted the rod both ways in front of me. Im not a guitar tech but I am engineer and I know to only give the smallest of tweeks like a quarter turn and leave for a day to settle. The shop do NOT sell faith guitars its another shop that sells faith. I did say the Ed sheeran was crap. Crap value for money, I had tried the spruce top version and was only mildly impressed with it and thought it wasn't good value for money (500 euro). I only recently played the ed sheeran model which has a Sapele top and its a much better tone and on a whole the guitar feels better, however value for money with this guitar is still a concern as its 600 euro. I saw that a member was trying to contact you about 4 times without reply and looked like he was getting frustrated with your lack of replies as in NO replies. This was a few weeks ago and this is about the time I was thinking that I made a mistake not getting a smaller body guitar, so I only asked this person that if he was interested I could be selling mine. That was all... I must stress this was BEFORE I was aware of the hump, I removed the ad from ebay immediately when I realised there was an issue... I don't take to kindly to your ACCUSATIONS or your personal attack on me... Kev if you had the 00028 at a luthier for a set up and within 2 weeks its developed a hump in the neck then id be taking it back to the luthier in question . you also posted a while back about adjusting a truss rod although you say you are a novice , could you have caused the hump yourself ?
