Weird but gorgeous, and I treated myself to a few sound clips like the one posted above last night through my headphones. It has a HUGE sound - just amazing. Now let's see....Google tells me I can drive to Aberdeen in 2 hours 46 mins, so I could have this baby in my hands by, say....3.24pm today

Ah, interesting. So the magnetic bit is really only cosmetic. Really looks fantastic. Everything about it from the hollow headstock to the deep shine. Truly a thing of beauty.

The slots hold the ball end of the string in place..the fancy block is cosmetic but I'm guessing also serves a backup insurance in case things go wrong and they wiggle free or aren't seated properly...it certainly has a super strength magnet in it and seats with a very reassuring snap

Obviously very high quality build, probably sounds wonderful, it's always seemed to me that most good guitars do, but I can't help it I just don't like the bridge, the headstock or the way the soundhole 'rosette' flows into the cutaway. Maybe when the top has aged a bit and the whole design has kind of mellowed out...? Sorry, there's always one dissenting Old Curmudgeon somewhere, just happens to be me today.

No need to say sorry..Stated in the thread that it wouldn't be to everyone's taste and i appreciate that wholeheartedly....I have pretty traditional tastes usually so i departed from the norm with this one Thanks for looking at the thread

I mentioned early in the post that i was considering doing the Casimi guitar building course..All the details for this can be found on their own website but if you follow the link below you will get an idea of what it is all about..I find it fascinating to look at others ideas and work..There is also a build thread on The AGF forum (sorry moderators) that showcases one of the students work from start to finish www.facebook.com/CasimiGuitarsSchoolofLuthiery/

Tickets are 45p each, bring yer own lunch Reminds of something I once read in a report about someone: "he divides his time between servicing his van and his girlfriend". While I am reminiscing, another report said: "his mother is doubly incontinent and it all falls on his shoulders". And its goodnight from me... Brian
