I was talking to Pete at Headway amplification this morning, the company sell highly regarded acoustic amps, pickups and pre amps. Pete told me that the company is launching a new line of acoustic amps in the autumn which will be half the weight and twice the power as the current offerings.
Headway products sound wonderful and have that annoyingly termed 'musical' quality that everybody likes. If you are thinking about buying an acoustic amp if might be worth holding on for a few months!

This is really good news. I've been eyeing up the Headway amps for a long time, but have been unable to try one- they seem to be as scarce as rocking horse poo! Having tried a fair few amps recently I'd love to try out these new Headways before I make a decision.

Robbie,
Apparently they have sold out of old stock months ago — what is left out there is in retail stores.
I have tried them in the past and first impressions suggest they are every bit as good as products from the USA, maybe better in terms of our musical tastes. They were a little expensive but id, say, the 60W model becomes a 120W model within the original price point suddenly they start becoming very good value for money!
Headway have moved into new offices — my conversations with them were effected by people drilling into walls! I notice they are looking for new dealers worldwide. It sems to me they are on course for some significant expansion, which is good news I think.
