Thanks birdo I think Alan relocated from Surrey some time ago, but not that long ago, he then started working with Palladium Guitars in Attleborough, they share the workshop.

You should be quite happy with the Headway; I'm very pleased with mine. Its gives a certain air to the signal which is nice and successfully deals with quack, until the battery needs replacing. Headway use the stronger coaxial chord that Highlander use rather the piezo film.It is pretty hassle free and feedback isn't usually a problem (although I do occasionally have to deal with some FB on a low C when in C tunings).

I popped into Alan's workshop today to try out the neck for size... the guitar is more or less assembled but the nut and saddle were temporary and the bridge is not fully fixed as yet, however, it was tuned to D more or less and I loved it, really pleased. Just the finishing touches now and a personal inlay in the truss rod cover, a few pics from today follow.
cottonopolis I tried the resonator, a couple of pics below and it sounded really good... it is heavy, I played with my usual bare fingers first which isn't really a fit for the guitar but when I played my very limited blues repertoire with a pic it came alive and sounded great, this one had a pretty slim neck and the action was set medium for a bit of slide if preferred, it felt good.

Very nice! That's a cracking bit of walnut (?) on the back. Enjoy and let us hear what it sounds like, please.

Thanks Dale and yes, it's claro walnut, I'll try and record it soon.
Incidentally, quite a few of the earlier photos don't seem to be showing for me, they are still on 'postimage' so the links should be ok, just thought I'd mention it for anyone else using this image hosting site for threads, might just be me!
