Never played one. They seem to go for around £1500 to £1700.

I have a 79 Strat, albeit not the Anniversary model. Mine's just bog-standard. I'm always reading about this was poor era for Fender - hence the relatively low prices for a 40 year old (i.e. vintage) guitar. However, I love mine. Other guitars have come and gone but this one has always stayed with me. It's still an awful lot better than I'll ever be.
