Hi, Just watched both reviews and thought they were very well done. I agree with previous comments that info on scale length, nut width is pretty important. Also possibly what the model price range is rather than just the top model; its a bit like car adverts in that the one you see on the demo is the one with all the gizmos whereas the one you buy hasn't even got tyres which are extra. Again, mentioned by Riverman, I find the level of independence on these things is absolutely crucial. One of the main criticisms I would have of other magazine reviews is that too often you felt you were reading the manufacturer's marketing press release; to the extent that I stopped reading them. I specifically saw one 'review' which almost verbatim quoted what was on the maker's website which makes nonsense of the whole thing. I'm not sure how the commercial model for this works and am certainly not trying to pry into your business. Other than to say keep up the excellent quality of these reviews, the good and the bad as you see it, but try to reassure the viewer that it is totally independent otherwise it loses its value and therefore its purpose. Good luck; have subscribed to your youtube channel. FFJ The plan is to be as independent and honest as we can - I think it's very important to be able to criticise something if it needs criticising but you also have to balance the fact that my own personal opinion might not always be 100% in line with other peoples, particularly when it comes to things like inlays and decoration etc... Thanks for subscribing!

I hope you nice beyond the world of Martin et al.
Most interest seems to be in the Faith/Larrivee/Guild/Vintage world.
A decent appraisal of these guitars would - I suspect - be appreciated by many.

Great job of the video reviews Ben. Good blend of playing and chat, and what you played gave a good impression of the differences in the two guitars. The second may have had you feeling and coming across as more relaxed, but the first seemed pretty natural to me. On the topic of relaxed you did seem really at ease with the Martin. Good playing on both, but on the Martin it all seemed to be flowing just that bit better - like, as you said, you had played the guitar for years. I'll need to explore the website this weekend - looks like a great place to visit. All good, and very good luck with the project. Mark

Like you say I think I was a bit more at home on the Martin, which is no doubt due to the fact that I mainly play an OM or a 000 sized guitar myself and I have owned a 15 series Martin in the past so I'm familiar with their tone.
