Nice interview, thanks for posting! I've only briefly scanned over it so far, but I'm pleased to see the 'guitar style' section, with info on tunings Now if only someone could tell me how he plays Courting is a Pleasure... That's the one that first grabbed me. Mesmerizing.

For me it's not always about altered tunings, extended chords and advanced picking techniques. Sometimes it's cowboy chords, a silky voice and just good songs. Mind you, I was quite surprised by the Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner here.

Not sure if this is widely known to forum users but it's a nice biography of Nic Jones followed by a fairly in-depth study of his playing style by Michael Raven, from the perspective of another fine guitarist. I found it a great read, along with Nic's return to the stage and the recent TV documentary.

Glad to see this here. I'd never heard of Dave Evans until I read El Mcmeen talking about him and his use of Low C tuning, so I searched and found this vid. Pretty amazing playing!

I quite enjoyed this, a music journalist with no playing experience decides he wants to perform 'Anji' at a live gig so sets about learning how to play it and learns a lot more about the guitar besides. Some interesting insights into the folk scene, a meeting with Davey Graham in particular was quite surprising.

Great writer and performer seriously into his stride on latest album 'Southeastern'. Sounds as good tearing it up in a Rock 'n' Roll band or just with his Martin.
