Had a go on one of these today and i loved it, looks nice, plays nice and sounds great, im seriously thinking about getting this guitar so i was hoping somebody here might have one and tell me what they think or if they have had a go on one, the one in the shop had a few marks on it i didnt like so it would have to be another one, just hope it feels and sounds as good.

Freshman have a good reputation for quality but, having said that they are still factory guitars and the one you get may not sound as nice as the one you tried. Were the marks as a result of people trying the guitar in the shop ? If so you'd be able to do a deal and get the sound you like. John

Rich I can't vouch for the AB3 but all I can say is that the Freshmans are superb guitars george another forum member has the Apollo 1D which is in the lower range than mine and he's gigged it for years and its travelled to Germany with him twice . He's never had a single issue with his either and its still going strong . I can't fault mine at all as both sound and action is bang on and real easy to play .

Thanks, i wanted to get it this saturday but ive been dragged into work, i played the AB3 autumn the other day in a local guitar store and it sounded great and it played so easy, its not the first freshman i have liked but this one really did grab me , it just seemed to resonate through my whole body, i would have had it by now if the one in my local shop was in perfect condition, im making a 60 mile trip to get another one from a different shop next week.

Had a look at these guitars on line quite a few time thier site is questionable, they dont show much specs. No info on nick size or body size, neck width or scale size. Bit dissapointing really they look great guitars. They seem to push thier solid bodys out at a really good price. I wonder what they mean by A AA AAA grade spruce. Other manufacturers say Solid Spruce. Even Martin dont grade thier spuce is it just a gimmick?

One for the luthiers here, I guess, but I've seen guitars (from many makers) with a spruce top graded up to AAAA. I don't know what the grading means, or how the different grading affects the tone, or whether it's an aesthetic thing... Maybe this explains it all wood grading

Well ive been in touch with the guitar shop i am visiting on Saturday and they have in stock 1 AB3 autumn and 3 FA250GAC, what ever happens im leaving that shop with one or the other, i must refrain from playing anything else while im there but some how i dont think thats going to be possible, i just hope my intentions of getting one of these guitars doesnt go wayward and i end up coming home with something completly different, not sure about the neck size, scale length etc etc,i just know when i tried the AB3 in another shop it worked for me,if the shoe fits and all that.

Let me know what you think of the FA model its Mahogany and Cedar and if you think it sounds good when you try it then wait until you've played it in a bit as mine seems to sound better every time I play it and I've only owned it for about 3 months . How much are they asking for the Fa250ga ?

Hello Sigmadel The shop i am going to are asking £499 for the FA250GAC and £515 for the AB3 autumn, i think 499 for an all solid guitar is a stonking price, i will of course play all 3 of the 250s and try and blag some free strings just to be a bit cheeky regardless of which guitar i bring home

Dude check them out and then look around I only paid £299 for mine with an rrp of £500 , even better value . I got mine from Guitarguitar they have stores all over and are excellent to deal with , plus free next day delivery . Meant to add mine came with a reasonable quality case not top notch but ok for in the car boot etc...

Blast it, ive just been informed by the shop im visiting at the weekend that they no longer have the AB3 autumn in stock, they are going to try and get one in for me though, it was the main reason for the 60 mile trip, they said theres plenty other brands to try, my only worry is that if i get something else without trying the AB3 will i end up regreting it. Scrub that, the shop just contacted me and told me they will have one instore for me to try for the weekend, good shop good shop

Looking at the specs its an all Koa laminated body, seems a lot of money for a laminated guitar though 600 punds sterling.. 700 euro How was it to play? It does look awesome...
