First off i would like to apologize for my lack of presence on this forum and with posting this last criteria, ive been having a tough time recently and ive let that consume me a bit too much. Here is my final entry for the comp. I think that the way in which Sahmradh could have enhanced this performance applies to both Josh (right) and I. First of all the guitar is stunning and we like stunning guitars but more importantly having tried a guitar with a side sound port before i know that it would of been alot easier for us to hear what we were playing, these videos were taking from a recent gig we played the recording is taken off my dads camera. We were in an auditorium and we did have a stage monitor and there was a great sound system there however there is something alot more special about the side sound port, it gives a much clearer idea of what your playing, there is a natural sound coming right at you as your playing and i personally think its a big advantage for gigs where maybe you don't have a stage monitor or your in a busy/noisy pub. In a years time i would like to be at the stage were i am not working a day job but simply playing guitar all day and gigging in the evening. Josh and I have played in a great deal of our local venues but struggle to be re-booked for future gigs. We have put this down to a number of reasons: People/management simply dont have the money to pay for regular live music, We haven't managed to bring a big enough audience, Not everybody is into acoustic/ambient guitar playing and finally we don't sing. The steps we are taking to achieve our goals our: We are currently saving up to travel the Himalayas, India and Sri Lanka In the attempt to spread our sounds as far out as possible. We have 2 weeks of gigs booked over there so far and are continuing to search for more. Secondly, we are both taking singing lessons and have been practicing alot to add a new flavor to our music we our writing lyrics to some of our songs and we are taking on covers to try to reach out to the public a bit more and give them something they can relate to a bit better. And our final step to try to achieve full time gigs instead of jobs is when we come home from our travels we will be relocating to London because we feel there is alot more work to be had there and we think that it is a multi-cultural place where the people our more open minded to different genres of music. I hope i have explained enough, if there any additions to make please tell me, i wish the best of luck to everybody taking part and would like to say a big thankyou to Dave for putting on such an interesting competition, its great that its had a good response as i have been able to check out all the other people who have entered and i have to say its really good to see people pushing for the same goals in there own ways.

Hi my name is Jack Turner, im 19 years old and i play in an acoustic duo with my friend Josh Garraway who is 20. We have been playing together for just over a year now trying to gig wherever possibly can, we have recorded our first album and are almost done with the next one. Individually we have each been playing for 10 years. We are located in Eastbourne (South East) but we are looking to branch out and find more places to play and people to meet. Winning this competition would inspire us to play more and too reach the goals we desperately need to achieve to get further into our career. We both have regular part-time jobs however our true passion is guitar and we would like to get to the stage where we could gig for a living. Here is a video of us playing a few months back.. And a more recent track we have done.. soundcloud.com/melodika-1/melodika-granola-boat-liveFeedback would be great guys, Thanks
