Some interesting information here from the HSE website. www.hse.gov.uk/electricity/faq-portable-appliance-testing.htmBy taking all reasonable precautions, you are covering yourself in the event of a fault causing injury, and a subsequent claim against you. It is worth remembering that insurance cover should be obtained to cover other - non electrical - accidents. This may well be a requirement of many venues.

Blimey, I would hate to carry that little lot on a bike. This is a 'converter' that goes around a box to convert it into a rucksack - typically for a fishing tackle box. quaysports.com/roddarch-rucksack-converter.htmlIt would be 90 degrees out without some messing around - looking at it you could cut a hole in the top of the converter and put the neck end of the Calton case through. In a previous existence I used to carry my Eko Ranger 6 on a bike and strapped it around me with bungee straps. Needless to say, it fell out on day and suffered monster damage.

Just got this collection from Amazon for £9.99. Great value. Not sure about the remastered bit, but 'North Star Grassman' sounds pretty good.
The Final Concert one is not exactly as it may have been on the night. Guitar and vocal parts were added later due to technical problems on the night of the concert. I don't think it was actually released until twenty years later. It was available - with difficulty on tape, and was known as 'The Attic Tapes' or something similar.
Thanks for the heads up on this one fatfingerjohn - a great deal.

I live very close to Keith Calton. Maybe if you contacted him, he would do a repair for you. Whatever you do, get it repaired properly as it would appear that the case are worth more than plenty of guitars!

Some people swear by something compact like the Martin Backpacker. I bought one to take with me in a camper van. Personally, I don't get on with the thing, but it does have a couple of definite plus points.
I wouldn't be too upset if it came to grief
If you ran out of firewood on said 'picnic' I am sure it would keep the fire going for a while.
It is for sale.

I am left handed and left footed, but play guitar, cricket and golf right handed. From the outset it was more natural to hold a guitar right handed, and so I always have.
From the teaching point of view, it can be easier for a left handed student to see what a right handed teacher is doing if they are sitting opposite the teacher, as it is a mirror image.

I think it could all be down to a matter of perception here. When I first started to play guitar, I hardly ever changed the strings. Consequently, they would be absolutely knackered when they were changed, and the new ones would sound much better. These days, I change them much more frequently so they probably still have some life left in them when they are taken off, so the difference is less obvious.

Would someone from this country really pay that amount without seeing it? Assuming they do exist of course!

How about Johnny Moss as a tutor. I met him at Ian's recent gathering and was seriously considering approaching him about some tuition anyway!
