EDIT - it's rubbish! No steam locomotives!!! I don't want to patronise you Keith, but did you try looking under 'Trains' in the category menu? "Shunting in steam railway goods yard" "Distant train siren" "Steam train departs from Luque station external, with hooter etc." "Blaenau Festiniog Light Railway, Steam Train passes." "Steam Train slow pass R-L. (King George V Steam Locomotive.)" |

EDIT - it's rubbish! No steam locomotives!!! I don't want to patronise you Keith, but did you try looking under 'Trains' in the category menu? "Shunting in steam railway goods yard" "Distant train siren" "Steam train departs from Luque station external, with hooter etc." "Blaenau Festiniog Light Railway, Steam Train passes." "Steam Train slow pass R-L. (King George V Steam Locomotive.)" Thanks Pete - musta been having a senior moment, I quite possibly didn't search for "trains" though I deffo searched for steam locomotives. I will shunt on down to the site forthwith! Keith  |

Lots of good songs about trains - probably merits a thread of its own....
I went to see Robben Ford last year - he did a superb version of Dylan’s Slow Train with a fiddle player accompanying him - if you closed your eyes, there was a big loco leaving the platform right in front of you. Fantastic.

I am a bit worried we're suddenly going to hear loads of new songs about trains! A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I did a short gig with a friend for a Christmas party held by the Merseyside Historic Railway Society. Every song had to include a train. You'll be pleased to know I've made a full recovery. Here's our set list. I am a bit worried we're suddenly going to hear loads of new songs about trains! A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I did a short gig with a friend for a Christmas party held by the Merseyside Historic Railway Society. Every song had to include a train. You'll be pleased to know I've made a full recovery. Here's our set list. King Of The Road Freight Train, Freight Train Train Leaves Here This Morning Milwaukee Blues Freight Train Boogie City Of New Orleans I have to ration myself to make sure I don't do too many train songs anyway 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃 A few years ago after a similar discussion on Facebook when a folk-musician friend was building a model railway I made a Spotify playlist of all the train songs I could think of & I have updated it periodically since (most recently this morning with a couple of the ones lavaman just mentioned that I had previously missed.
