The strap on my gig bag is about break so it's time for a new one. Any recommendations? I'm looking at the Reunion Blues Continental and the Mono but am open to other suggestions too. I carry a fair bit of crap - cables, folding stand, tab books and things for teaching. My current bag has a removable pack on the front and it's been excellent, but the company is no longer around and, to be honest, I could do with reducing the amount of crap I carry anyway as it gets pretty heavy.
Are the Anderton's own brand worth a look? They're a heck of a lot cheaper than the first two brands I mentioned, but I'm willing to spend for protection and longevity. I've been using my current one for probably 15 years now.
Any thoughts?

I recently bought a Mono case. Expensive, but perfect for me to take into Liverpool on public transport. Also, I have it on the best authority from another forum member, that not only do they float if you fall in a canal, but they keep your guitar dry too.

That's a great price for 25mm padding, Keith! Cams - if you can handle a little extra girth, see if you can find a Warwick Gigbag, their "premium line" has 30mm padding and very tough outer material. I don't have one for guitars but have several for my banjos and mandolins, they are very good quality. Their website also helpfully gives detailed internal dimensions - strangely lacking on many maker's websites, but very useful especially if buying online when our instruments have so many variations of body widths and neck lengths etc.
