Hi,
Off to see these guys in Sheffield tonight; sold out.
Tom P was probably, along with Dylan, my first introduction to folk music and I've loved his stuff ever since. Whether love songs, children's songs, protest/political songs he always seems to just get the right spot. I've probably seen him 5 times live and thought when he was at Birmingham a few years ago that he said he would not be touring UK again. So it was a great and pleasant surprise to see this show advertised a couple of months ago. I suppose playing with some of his old mates takes the pressure off him doing things solo now.
Found a few clips on YouTube (with the odd banjo creeping in but hey ho!). I reckon this one could easily be joined in with by Keith and a few others that we know (same look, same era!)
I'll report back.
John

... I'd love the amazing privilege of playing with Tom - 'tis one of my more publicly admittable fantasies - one of my heroes. Only seen him live once, at York Uni Central Hall somewhere between 1968 and 1971.
