As this year draws out I wanted to share these pics with you from Frans Elferink who is building me a hybrid of sorts due in March next year.
Frans builds predominantly Archtop guitars and has well established clientele in the Jazz world having been creating wonderful guitars for 25 years.
He’s building me a flat top/arched back guitar from his Tonemaster range Euro Spruce/Euro Maple and things are coming together.
Can’t wait to see the results.
Anyone have builds coming in 2020?

Thanks for posting ianb; this looks like a very interesting build thread. Was the flat-top, arch back your or Frans’ idea? And I was interested in the rationale behind it.
To be honest, I would have been sceptical about this combo, but I’m currently working on a flat-top arch back mandolin commission. I’ve had it playing, last week, in the white and impressed myself! Very loud and great balance.
Yours should be a lovely guitar!
