Well I managed a short recording on my phone (voice recorder). However do I have to upload to sound cloud or the like to embed or does anyone know an easier way to link it???

Uploads to Soundcloud and Youtube can be embedded in your post; uploads to Box.com allow you to post a link. Other sites are available!
You can't upload soundfiles directly to this Forum, sorry.

I've created a clip in SoundCloud - let me know what you think. Sorry about the sound quality and skills

Sounds good! You've invented the crossover resonator

Cheers.I tried to find other examples with the wood/aluminium body but couldnt find anything. To be honest the reason I used the aluminium was that it was easy to bend and manipulate in to shape.

Kudos on your first build. The sides of a guitar are generally thought to just hold the front and back apart and play very little part in the sound production, with yours though I feel that the reflectivity of the aluminium is definitely playing a part. There is no single way that a guitar should sound, and yours sounds good to me. Well done, now on to the next one, you can never make just one.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Always good to have the experienced ones cast their ears and eyes over my first attempt. Its time to start project number two now.
