Hi everybody, hope your all keeping safe, seeing as I've been confined to barracks I thought I would make a wee guitar, I howked out some Brazilian Rosewood that I had bought from a geezer that I had met at a folk club in Nuneaton round about 1980(some pics to follow when I can work out how to download them) I've also had a wee keek in a long forgotton cupboard and came across a few instruments in various stages of build, now the main reason that I'm on here, the instruments in question have been coated in lacquer, but as at the time I was using different sorts, ie, cellulose, acrylic and melamime and I can't remember what is on each one, so can any of the makers on here suggest a remover that I could use to take it back down to the bare wood as I reckon that would be the easiest way. Many thanks in advance. Wullie

I'd use scrapers, then sandpaper from 240 down to 400. Take it very slowly, don't try to scrape it all off in one go. Do not use a machine sander.
